2012

Fantastic, Awesome, Amazing, Exciting and Fun. That is how to describe the 2012 RSVP “Who Will be Smarter than a 5th Grader?” fundraiser held on Saturday, May 19th. 16 fabulous fifth graders and courageous community celebrities matched wits and wisdom at Valley View Mall for the chance to be “smarter than a fifth grader” and this year’s event again proved to be the best “fun”draiser yet.

Congratulations to the winning team of Gundersen Lutheran Foundation Director, David Amborn his fifth grade partner, Sophie Baggett of Emerson Elementary School.
As the Grand Prize winners, David received a $500.00 travel voucher courtesy of Travel Leaders, gift certificates to Dublin Square, Three Rivers Lodge, and Festival Foods. Sophie received Pizza Doctor’s Pizza Party, passes to Shenanigan’s, gift certificates to Target, Festival Foods, a Pepsi Cooler and Brewer’s hat, along with Loggers tickets, a Marcus Theater Movie Package and a check for her school for $1,000.00. Way to go David and Sophie!

Congratulations also to the People’s Choice Award Winner, Joe Laux of River States Truck and Trailer. Joe raised the most money ever for a single contestant, highest ever “vote” recipient; raising over $7,000.00. On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of the Coulee Region RSVP, our sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the “celebrity contestants” and students who participated.
